Winter Weather
The colder weather has definitely arrived! Please ensure your children are dressed appropriately for the chilly conditions. Warm jackets, beanies and scarves, which are part of our school uniform range, are available for purchase online alongside the rest of the uniform items. We encourage students to continue enjoying outdoor play, even on colder days. It’s also a great idea to pack a spare set of clothes in your child’s bag, just in case they slip or get wet while at school.

We are incredibly proud of the way our students consistently show care for others and demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship. A special congratulations to those who have qualified for the next level of competition.
We have 4 students going to the Division on the 28th May.
On Friday the 23rd of May we are celebrating Education. This year’s theme is Celebration of Cultures. We welcome all families to come along and join in the fun.
Dear Parents, Carers, and Members of Our School Community,
We are thrilled to invite you to join us in celebrating Education Week, a special time to acknowledge and honour the wonderful learning, growth, and achievements taking place in our school every day.
We are excited to announce that our local Member of Parliament, Emma, will be visiting the school on Friday, May 23rd. During her visit, she will present our student leaders with their leadership badges.
Please note that the assembly will begin earlier than usual, starting at 2:05 PM
Following the assembly, at 2:30 PM, parents and carers are invited to step into their child's classroom to take a closer look at the exciting work they’ve been doing. This is a fantastic opportunity to see firsthand the creativity, effort, and enthusiasm your child brings to their learning.
Come along and help us shine a spotlight on the incredible achievements of our students and the dedication of our educators. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.
Have you ever asked your child what they did at school, only to hear, “Nothing”? It’s common - sometimes children are tired, hungry, or simply overwhelmed with everything they've experienced and aren't sure how to begin.
Instead of asking broad questions, why not try a more focused approach? The conversation starters below can help spark more meaningful responses. By asking about a specific part of their day, you might help unlock memories they’re more willing and excited to share.
Keep conversations casual as it’s better not to ask too many questions all at once. Start with just one or two and let the conversation flow naturally from there.
What’s Coming Up?
Curriculum Focus:
This term, students will dive deeper into their studies across all subject areas. Our focus will be on building resilience, problem-solving skills, and fostering positive learning habits. We’ll also be enhancing our Literacy and Numeracy skills, as well as exploring exciting new topics in Science, Art, and Music.
Sport & Physical Education:
Physical activity will continue to play a key role in the development of our students this term. Our Year 3 – 5 students will have the opportunity to be a part of the soccer mini roos program for a 4 week program near the end of the term.
A Focus on Student Wellbeing and Resilience
As we continue to prioritise student wellbeing, this term will see a focus on resilience. We will be teaching students how to cope with challenges, stay positive, and develop a growth mindset. It’s essential that our students feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to handle life’s ups and downs with confidence.
Every minute counts and arriving on time ensures students don’t miss vital instructions at the start of the day. School begins promptly at 8:45 am, and we encourage all students to arrive on time to make the most of their learning opportunities.
It can be very disruptive, both for your child and for others, if they enter the classroom after the initial instructions for the day have been given. This time is crucial for setting up the day's schedule, providing important information, and communicating any changes to what students may have expected. If your child arrives late, they will miss out on this important information.
I encourage you to visit the Department of Education and Training website, where you’ll find plenty of information about the importance of daily school attendance. Being on time is just as critical, as lateness has the same negative impact on your child's learning as missing school.
Of course, if your child is unwell or needs to isolate, please keep them at home. We understand these situations.Just a bit late doesn’t seem much but …………….. |
He/she is only missing just ….. | That equals | Which is ….. | And over 13 years of schooling that’s … |
10 minutes per day | 50 minutes per week | Nearly 1.5 weeks per year | Nearly Half a Year |
20 minutes per day | 1 hour 40 mins per week | Over 2.5 weeks per year | Nearly 1 year |
Half an hour per day | Half a day per week | 4 weeks per year | Nearly 1 and a half years |
1 hour per day | 1 day per week | 8 weeks per year | 2 and a half years |
Did you know your child’s best learning time is the start of the school day?
That’s when every minute counts the most!!!!
How can you help your child?

Talk About Resilience: Helping your child understand the importance of resilience and a positive mindset will support their ability to overcome challenges and thrive in school and beyond.
Building a Resilient Mindset
What is Resilience?
