Our school zone

You can find our school zone information on findmyschool.vic.gov.au, which provides the latest details on school zones in Victoria. Students living within our designated zone are assured a spot at our school, based on their permanent home address. Our school follows the Placement Policy for managing enrolments in Prep to Year 6, ensuring that students can attend their local school. Students zoned to our school also have the option to enrol in a different school should that school be taking children out of their zone.

How do I enrol my child?

Please contact the school directly by e-mail kuyim.ps@education.vic.gov.au for an enrolment form if you are in our zone. 

We will also require 100 points for your address check, your child’s birth certificate and immunisation certificate.

2026 Foundation (Prep) enrolment

The Department of Education has a statewide enrolment timeline for Foundation (Prep) students. This timeline guides families on when and how to enrol their child in Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government Primary School, including Kuyim Primary School.

Applications to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) for 2026 at Kuyim Primary School will open on 22 April 2025

What you need to do:

1. To book a school tour or learn more about our school and the enrolment process, contact our school by email: at kuyim.ps@education.vic.gov.au or by phone 5929-8411 
2. Download the Foundation (Prep) enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) (available by 22 April 2025). This pack includes an application form, which you can also download HERE.
3. Submit an enrolment application for Foundation (Prep) by Friday 25 July 2025.
4. You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 28 July and Friday 8 August 2025. If you receive an enrolment offer, you should contact our school to accept the offer by Friday 22 August 2025.
5. Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2025.
6. Prepare your child to start Foundation (Prep) from Wednesday 28 January 2026.

Enrolment applications submitted after 25 July 2025 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.
