I am honoured to be the founding principal at Kuyim Primary School. With 33 years of experience in the field of education, including 16 years in the principal class, I am deeply passionate about creating an exceptional learning environment.
I endeavour to assist every student in discovering their unique place in the world and giving them the tools to thrive personally, socially, and academically. I inspire staff to foster meaningful connections with students and families to build a strong sense of inclusion and belonging. I empower students to take ownership of their own learning journey
Rachel Davis
Assistant Principal
My name is Rachel Davis, and I am thrilled to be the foundation Assistant Principal at Kuyim Primary School. I have had the privilege of being an Assistant Principal, Learning Specialist, Classroom teacher and Kindergarten teacher over the course of my career of more than 25 years in education. I am passionate and committed to helping every student find their individual strengths and talents, building on their natural curiosity and wonder.
I am excited to work with our emerging school community to develop a vibrant and special learning space where all students feel connected and valued.

Ellyn Maykan
My name is Ellyn Maykan, and I’m delighted to be joining Kuyim Primary School in 2025! I’ve been a teacher for many years, working in Classrooms and as a Music Specialist.
I can’t wait to dive into all the new experiences here. I’m really passionate about Music and the Arts, finding great places to wander and new things to learn. Recently I’ve become a member of the Casey Concert Band – playing Clarinet, I’m refining my ability to throw ceramic pots on the wheel, discovering the wildlife in my area on the local walking tracks and in my own backyard, and now most importantly I’m delighted to be coming to work with you!
I’m always eager to meet new people, so please don’t hesitate to say hi if you see me around!

My name is Martha Ramsden! With 5 years of experience, I’m looking forward to contributing my passion for hands-on, authentic learning experiences. Wellbeing is a big priority for me; it’s crucial to have happy and engaged learners coming into the classroom each day so that everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. I’m eager to start this new chapter at Kuyim Primary School and to collaborate with new colleagues and families.
Merryn Gray
Hello everyone! I’m Merryn Gray, and I’m so happy to be joining the Kuyim Primary School community. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching in primary schools across Melbourne, New South Wales, and overseas, working with students from diverse backgrounds and supporting their learning journeys. I believe in creating a positive, inclusive environment where every student can succeed. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, and creating art. I’m looking forward to getting to know you all!
Ben Leighton
Hello to everyone! My Name is Ben Leighton and I am thrilled to be one of the foundation teachers of Kuyim Primary School. I have been teaching for many years across Primary and Secondary settings teaching Foundation to 6, ICT, Music, Student Welfare officer and after school hours guitar teacher!
My hobbies are collecting guitars (Some may say that I have too many!) playing in my bands Pocket Rocket and Jibba Jabba cover bands and most recently I have become a Registered Celebrant. I also love spending quality time with my family.
I am really looking forward to supporting the students of Kuyim Primary School and inspiring them to become lifelong learners, who explore their curiosities and build amazing connections to our new school, friends and community

Hello! My name is Taylor Febita, and I am thrilled to be joining Kuyim Primary School. I have a strong passion for learning and love supporting students as they work toward new goals. Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, cooking, spending time with my husband and children, and travelling. I’m excited to meet and get to know the wonderful students and families here at Kuyim Primary School, and I look forward to a fantastic year of growth and discovery together!
Olivia Esler-Keet
Hello Kuyim Primary School community, my name is Olivia Esler-Keet and I am going to be one of the teachers in 2025!
This will be my first year teaching, and I am excited to be a part of building our school and watching it grow. My background is in both primary and secondary education, and I’ve also spent the past few years working as a school librarian. Outside of the classroom, you’ll often find me with my nose in a book or at the netball courts. I’m really looking forward to getting to know the Kuyim students, families, and the whole school community. I can’t wait to start this exciting journey together!
Amanda Mollard
My name is Amanda Mollard and 2025 will be my 7th year in the classroom. I am very excited to be part of Kuyim Primary School in its very first year. My favourite part of teaching is the relationships I get to build with the students and their families and all those ‘aha’ moments in the learning journey. Having fun whilst we learn is something you can expect in my classroom. Outside of all the classroom fun you will find me spending time with my husband and our 2 grown up daughters , cheering on Carlton, drinking coffee, struggling through a Pilates class, stand up paddle boarding, reading, caravaning (travelling in general) or walking my dog. I'm so excited to create amazing memories at Kuyim Primary School.

Hi, l am Lauren. I have 17 years experience in education support at both secondary and primary school level. My personal passions are my grandchildren, family adventures and exploring with my husband in our caravan. I am very excited to be part of the new Kuyim community.

Jorja Slade
Hello, I'm Jorja and I'm very excited to be a founding member of Kuyim Primary School. With over 7 years of experience as a Teaching Assistant, it is extremely rewarding knowing I have been able to assist, guide and mentor students allowing them to reach their full potential. I can't wait to share my experience with other members of the Kuyim Primary School community. Away from the school environment I thoroughly enjoy being in nature from bike riding, hiking, camping and travelling. I have been fortunate enough to travel to over 30 countries so far. I am very passionate about sustainability, animals and the environment and I look forward to bringing these passions to Kuyim Primary School.
